Exmore, Virginia, July 24, 2019 – Just two and a half years after making the step towards offering fiber to the home (FTTH), the Eastern Shore of Virginia Broadband Authority (ESVBA) achieved a milestone, or three to be precise.  According to BroadbandNow, an evaluator and reporting agency for broadband across the United States, the ESVBA has been awarded the following under the small provider category:

    • Top 3 Fastest Internet Providers in Virginia
    • Top 3 Fastest Fiber Providers in Virginia

“This recognition is a tip of the hat to our staff and vendors that work tirelessly to provide the Eastern Shore the best quality broadband service available!” said Robert Bridgham, Executive Director. “Broadband is a technology that brings communities together and provides infrastructure for our community to stay competitive in a global marketplace, be able to stay connected to family and friends, enhance the educational opportunities of our youths and give access to all with emerging technologies such as telemedicine, telecommuting, and a plethora of other digital systems.”
