EXMORE, VA. (March 27, 2018) — The Eastern Shore of Virginia Broadband Authority (ESVBA) has opened Fiber to the Home service in the communities of Atlantic, Wattsville and Horntown, VA. These three communities are the latest locations to begin receiving high-speed fiber optic connectivity services since the ESVBA announced of a community-wide Fiber to the Home (FTTH) expansion in December 2017.
“We’re extremely excited about being able to offer Fiber to the Home (FTTH) to these areas of Accomack County. Faster more reliable, fiber-based Internet services will enable residents to access and enjoy a wide variety of modern conveniences including telework, telehealth, and streaming entertainment,” Executive Director Robert Bridgham said.
The specific residences now eligible to participate in the program are located along the current ESVBA fiber routes in:

Great news! I live 1000′ from Atlantic road in Watts Bay Estates, will FTTH be possible for me with these new service locations? My entire neighborhood would most likely be excited about the possibility of having FTTH.
Jake, 6 to 8 weeks more, FTTH services for residences on Watts Bay Estates will be a reality.
A few years ago fiber optic cable was run down upshur neck road almost to virginia landing camp ground. Is there a chance that service will come to the residents at virginia landing?
Mr. Marguglio:
The ESVBA has built fiber to Quinby and up to Wachapreague but not down Upsure Neck yet. We are working on additional funding sources to expand our footprint including down to Upsure Neck. We will update our website as we progress this initiative.
I LIVE ON HILLTOP ROAD RIGHT NEXT TO CHINCOTEGUE ROAD. I WOLD LOVE TO HAVE YOUR SERVICE IN MY HOME. IS THAT POSSIBLE? MY RESEARCH SHOWS ME YOU ARE THE BEST THIS AREA HAS TO OFFER, AND I WANT THE BEST.
Ms. Hutchins,
The ESVBA has fiber to the substation right next to Hilltop Drive. Please feel free to contact our sales staff to discuss a quote for service.
Next can we run fiber down Wisharts point rd to Channel rd in Atlantic?
Is the internet service available on dogwood ln, off of Atlantic rd?
When will service be available along Nocks Landing road and Eagle Sounds ?
