Our Services, ESVBA Fiber

The ESVBA’s network is an all fiber network which provides both SONET and Native Ethernet services.

Our fiber cable stretches from Virginia Beach, VA to the Maryland border and serves the Eastern Shore of Virginia All backbone electronics are NEBS compliant and engineered to Telcordia standards.

Seasonal Pricing

ESVBA’s customer(s) shall have the right to increase their bandwidth once per calendar year and subsequently decrease to the original contracted bandwidth with no additional one-time nonrecurring charges. This seasonal pricing shall also be extended to end user customers of Service Providers utilizing the ESVBA network. Provided that:

Monthly recurring charges shall be adjusted as per the ESVBA’s rate schedule.
Any additional monthly recurring costs for increased bandwidth shall be billed in full month increments only.
Non recurring set up charges for changes in bandwidth greater than one time per calendar year shall be charged $250 per every request for a decrease of bandwidth.
Customer must provide a minimum of thirty (30) business days written notice of their desire to modify their contracted bandwidth.
Any seasonal service adjustments, which have been active for five (5) months or greater, shall be considered a permanent change and the service orders term will automatically renew at the new rate.

Upon Customer notification by the ESVBA of a new Rate Schedule, Customer(s) shall have the following options:

Amend existing contract and lower rates via new rate schedule and start a new contract term, or
Amend existing contract to increase bandwidth at approximately the current billing rates and start a new contract term, or
Maintain current contract until term expires.

Dedicated Internet services

Pricing is effective December 20, 2023 for new services.

WISP services

Pricing is effective May 2016.

WISP EVPL Network Pricing Model

- Service Provider must have FCC #
- Service Provider must certify that it has registered with the FCC by filing FCC Form 499-A as required by 47 C.F.R. § 64.1195(a)-(b) (telecommunications carriers) or Order FCC 06-94 61 (interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol service providers).
- Cumulative bandwidth of all EVC’s going to any single ENNI at Service Providers POP shall not exceed the subscribed POP ENNI capacity. If the POP ENNI is oversubscribed, any performance issues shall be the sole responsibility of the Service Provider, not the ESVBA.
- EVC’s must terminate on free standing towers/poles with a height greater than or equal to fifty (50) feet i.e. no buildings or other structures.
- EVC’s must terminate to Service Providers wireless access equipment. No wireline extensions from EVC permitted
- Standard Non-Recurring Costs (NRC) apply.
- Does not apply to cellular/mobile services (CDMA, GSM, LTE, EV-DO, etc.).
- Term per service order (EVC @ Tower) is 60 Months.
- Bandwidth rates allowed: 10, 20,50,75,100,150,200,300,400,600,800, and 1000Mbps

POP ENNI 1000 Mb/s MRC = $600.00

POP ENNI 100 Mb/s MRC = $200.00

The Small Business service includes a single dynamic public IP address. A single public static IP address is available for $10.00 / month

Upon Customer notification by the ESVBA of a new Rate Schedule, commercial Customer(s) shall have the following options:

For customers that are currently subscribed to our Dedicated Internet Services under 10Mbps of capacity, after completion of at least 24-months of service with their original contract, may Amend their existing contract to subscribe to the new rate schedule, and start a new contract term; or
For customers with existing small business products, may Amend existing contract to increase bandwidth or renew bandwidth the new lower rates, and start a new contract term; or
Maintain current contract until term expires.

Residential Pricing

At its September 15th 2016 meeting, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Broadband Authority (ESVBA) unanimously approved residential pricing, in limited service areas, for Broadband connectivity. The available bandwidth levels and pricing are listed in the chart below. Further updates, including as additional areas are approved for residential services, will be provided on the ESVBA website.

Footnotes

Non-recurring charges are on an individual case basis based upon installation costs, constructions costs, equipment costs, and network capacity. When the ESVBA is required to extend/expand its network in order to provide service to a customer/end user, the ESVBA shall access a one-time Non-Recurring Charge (NRC), which shall be calculated using the Total Construction Costs (TCC), the Monthly Recurring Charges (MRC), and the service order contract Term of the contact.
Monthly recurring charges are based upon existing ESVBA “Lit Buildings” on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
Charges for any services requiring another carrier or other parties, or not listed above, shall be determined on an individual case basis.
